Crystal Mosque, Kuala Terengganu

Terengganu, known as the historical state of Islam.

Quite a number of mosque can be found in this state.

Thus, visiting Terengganu and not visiting a mosque is not a visit to Terengganu =p

The Crystal Mosque.

Chandelier, hanging in the middle of the hall.

All ladies smile at the entrance.

In order to enter the most for non-Muslim.
One has to "tutup aurat" (no-body-exposure)
No worries for entrance fee and rental of clothing, its all F.O.C

Admiring the art of architecture???

Although the mosque is named as Crystal Mosque, the glasses doesn't seems to be made of crystal. Its more of tinted glass i guess. Correct me if im wrong?

Snaps in the mosque.

Apparently, this is how the mosque looks at night.
Unfortunately, I did not manage to view it, as i were to catch a bus back to KL.

The night view photo above is taken from http://masjidkristal.blogspot.com/

Satisfy donkey??

The Sabah Style

Well, if you think that KL people drives recklessly and inconsiderate,

Your perception may change after going to KK.

Not signalling while turning a corner may be irritating to other drivers on the road, but its somehow a NORM in Sabah.

People just turn without signalling.
Probably because the roundabout in KK is way more than the traffic lights.
~~~
Although its just a sweet 8 days in KK, there's quite a few interesting style people do things in KK.
Take for example, I used to order Milo Ais in KL but in Sabah, the chances are people may "huh"??! when i said Milo ais in KK.
People in KK called it "Milo Ping"
~~~
Other than that, its just how amazing when a glass of "teh limau ping" cost more than a glass of "milo ping"

What??!!

Unbelievable?? Believe it!!

Kuantan the capital of Pahang

Just the last week before college resume i manage to sneak back to my hometown for a little break.
.
Away from the temporary job at KCP and away from the city.
.
Although Kuantan is the capital of Pahang, the life here is definitely LESS LESS tense here.
.
Even driving in Kuantan is less stressful here.
.
.
.

.

Going back to Kuantan would usually mean boredom to me.
.
Especially when i'll be going back once every few months for hols.
.
But this time, its different.
.
Totally different as my EX-colleague came along for a short break too.
.
.
.
Kuantan River Cruise was the 1st event of the trip.
.
At RM15 per pax, we cruise along the river with many interesting sight.
.
From fishing boats to fishing area and mangroove sites.

This boat were filled with lights to attract the 'sotong' (calamari) at night.
.
.
.

This is one of the boat accupied by a family, anchored by the river.
.
.
.

At one point along the river, we stopped by a site for sight seeing.

Its a paya bakau area

The next destination was Sungai Lembing on the following day.
.
Sg. Lembing is located bout 40 km from Kuantan town.
.
It used to be lombong bijih timah, but now a village with very low population.
.
Most of the villagers has migrated either to Kuantan to seek a better living or to heaven.

Due to its location at he river bank.
Sungai Lembing has encountered a very bad flood back at the 1970's
The flood water did rose as high as the height of the red roof in the picture above.

At a reasonable price of RM315, the package include all meals (eat all you can), accomodation (quad sharing), to and fro boat transfer and.....
TWO snokerling session.

One of which was at the Marine Park Snorkeling which i have posted earlier and
the other one was Round The Island Snorkeling itself.

Getting ready to go on board for snorkeling.

Right hand~ with the equipment

Left hand~ MPH plastic bag with camera and towel

Always bring extra plastic bag for island trip to keep your stuff dry!

While waiting at the jetty for the boat
Self-shot =p

The background is so calm and beautiful

Rounding island in the boat

I don't know what's wrong with my body, it just couldn't stay vertical in water.
Probably my butt is not heavy enough

Just have to be horizontal.

Marine Park Snorkeling

It might sound surprising but this is truly my first trip to an island~ Redang
(that’s if I put Penang aside)
Its my first time snorkeling too.

An awkward feeling arise a week before I depart to Redang, just imagine if you were in my shoe.

Being the only stranger in a group of 20.
Being the only girl coming from a different college.

I understand its never easy neither it is very difficult to make new friends.

I’ve had a taste of such situation while I was in form 6, being the only girl from VI moved to MBS.

Anyway, I know I’ll surely regret if I did not go!

I've made a right decision.
Go Redang!!

On top of a wonderful vacation, I’ve made 17 new wonderful friends.
~
On the very first day after lunch, we had a round of snorkeling at the Marine Park.

There's where, biologist conduct marine researches with quite a plenty of fishes.

The distance from Redang Lang Tengah Resort to the Marine Park takes bout half an hour.
With the breeze from the sea, most of us end up falling asleep.

Arrival at the Marine Park
There were many other tourist from Lang Tengah and Redang who came to snorkel too.

Briefing session before going into water

Its not difficult to attract fishes to your feet,
as long as you have a few pieces of bread in hand.

Fishes in the crystal clear water

Breath taking corals

Bread feeding in the water attracted lots of fishes

The view of fishes swimming right in front of my eyes just left me speechless
~not that i can talk in water

I actually gulped in 2 mouth full of seawater
Darn salty!!

Photo shot after snorkeling
All salty wet but happy

Sea view from the boat, while going back to resort

happy*happy =)
